about herbal coffee

Caffeine, the main compound present in brewed coffee, has multiple effects on human physiology. The short-term beneficial effects include an increase in dopamine (a neural transmitter, which activates the pleasure centre in corresponding parts of the brain among other important functions), resulting in a mental and physical boost.

The antioxidant properties of coffee may be beneficial in diseases where the pathology is connected with the overproduction of free oxidative radicals, such as cancer or stroke. Coffee has also been linked to preventative research in a number of brain-related disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.

However, some individuals find that, in the long-term, caffeine induces fatigue, headaches or irritability due to the reduction of dopamine after the initial release in the corresponding tissues. Moreover, caffeine, as well as naturally occurring acids during the coffee-roasting process, may cause an upset stomach or even slight nausea after consumption.

Cafézia™ Herbal Coffee has developed a new coffee drink which combines a special mix of herbs to moderate the metabolism of caffeine and some acidic compounds present in brewed coffee. By lowering or eliminating the possible side effects of caffeine and acidic substances, the natural herbs not only enhance the quality and pleasure of drinking coffee but they also add a powerful boost to the immune system. Caffeine is known for its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier; an excellent delivery system for the healing herbal properties.
